What does a homeschool "Snow Day" look like?

No different than any other day! Except maybe the extra motivation to get done with work in order to go outside and play. We finally got a decent snow overnight and woke to a winter wonderland--around 8 inches. The boys were out by 2:30 and came in around 5. Here are the fruits of their labors:

Noah considered sleeping in his fort, but decided it was too small.

Micah marveled at how easily the snow packed. It was a very nice, sunny day. So nice and bright after so many dull, dreary days this winter!

Of course, no day of playing in the snow is complete without finishing it off in front of the fire with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies and milk (and Spongebob on the TV if truth be told). Okay, if we want to go for total truth, let's also include the huge pile of laundry waiting to be folded that I had to step over in order to take this picture. ;-)
