Barnes & Noble offers a summer reading program for kids in Grades 1-6. The kid reads 8 books, fills out a journal, parent signs it, then they take it to their store before Sept. 2 to choose a free book. The pickings are a little slim for this Mom who hates twaddle, but Noah did get Gregor the Overlander there one year, which ended up being one of his all-time favorite books.
