Such Things As God Has Promised

Prayer, John Bunyan once said, "is a sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the soul to God, through Christ in the strength and assistance of the Spirit, for such things as God has promised." Prayer, then, is more than our yearning for some personal benefit. It is our thoughtful and heartfelt response to a God who has already extended his hand of kindness to us.

Hi there!

I just wanted to say that I have enjoyed reading your blog. Someone had mentioned it on the SWMOHE yahoo group and I wanted to check it out because I understand you use Ambleside (or at least utilize Charlotte Mason principles). I am using Ambleside next year with my daughter and live in Republic. Again, I enjoy reading your blog and look forward to reading more.

Hi Kim
wanted you to know how much I've enjoyed your blogs. I read the one about using vinegar for a lot of reasons. How do you make your laundry detergent?

Amanda & Jerod had their little boy today 5/5 weighed 7lb 10 oz; 22inch long. Both are doing fine.
