And that means time for the Valentine's heart to go up at our home. I started with a large piece of red felt cut into a heart about 2'x2'. I used fabric glue to create pockets from the remaining red felt; one for each member of the family. I used fabric paint to put names on each of the pockets and embellished with a little ribbon.
This heart gets hung up around Feb. 1 each year, and for the next 14 days we all have fun dropping things into each other's pockets; small symbols of our love for each other.
